Louie!

For the past few days I have been able to enjoy the company of my bestest friend, Louie. Stef's parents, who so graciously offered to take care of Louie so that we could continue to enjoy White Rock, have gone to Powell River for the week to visit River's human (Stef's sister), so we are Louie-sitting for the week. He is only visiting, as we told a lady in the elevator. Stefani said it very quickly upon getting in the elevator, in case the lady was worried. You see, we are not allowed to have dogs or cats in the building, and visiting dogs or cats are only tolerated as long as they are not a nuisance. But Louie could never be a nuisance, could he? So, he is "visiting", which he is, but just for a few more days - Stef's parents are getting him Saturday evening.
The weather was nice - yesterday. Today, it is raining. It was nice for a while, but this evening the rain started. Aside from the occasional burst of light from the sky (no, it isn't a nuclear explosion - well, in a way it is, but ...) we have had a fairly unfair beginning to summer. Stefani is quite lucky, having had at least a week in the warm Mexican sun a couple weeks ago. But I missed her so...

So, here we are, the beginning of summer is upon us, and we are hearing about events and parties and BBQs and all sorts of fun things to do, as long as the weather smartens up. Otherwise, party tent rentals are going to do very well!

Speaking of big tents, on Sunday we are going to Cirque du Soleil - Corteo. This is our first real Cirque show, and we are really looking forward to it. Should be fun! Hopefully it isn't the only "soleil" we see this summer!
