We are a little south of White Rock - currently we are in Laguna Hills, which is a suburb of LA, I think :o) We are visiting good friends here, spending our first day of our California road trip.
We spent the day at Disneyland - Disney California, actually. Stefani rode The Screamer roller coaster, finally. Last time we were here, the coaster was broken, so she was pretty excited. We also did a lot of wandering around, and of course, shopping. Downtown Disney is very cool, and the World of Disney store really rocks. We spent too much, of course.
We took off yesterday morning from Campbell River store, on the shuttle bus, at 6:10AM. We finally arrived at SeaTac airport at 10:30 - an hour later than we expected, due to some dorky foreigner that was trying to bring more than $10K cash across the border - who the heck carries cash like that?? So, instead of detaining him and letting the rest of us go on our merry way, we just waited - and waited - and ... waited. As a result of us being late, there were no first class seats, or even exit rows, so we had to fly in the cattle car like everyone else. Wasn't that bad - actually yes it was - the dingbat in front of me decided to put his seat back for the whole trip, and then put his hands on his head and behind his neck, totally getting into my space - how rude. To make it worse (yes, it could get worse) we were sitting IN FRONT of the exit row, so our seats did not recline. Bummer ... :o)
The drive from San Diego - that was a blast! It rained, and rained, and rained - hee hee, it was like the Grand Canyon - it poured! Check out our FB albums, very funny. Oh, forgot to mention, we rented a Mustang Convertible :o) Left the top up, of course :o)
We enjoyed the convertible today, though. I seriously gotta get me one of those!
I will post more tomorrow - we are off to Santa Barbara!
