I'm Still Here ... So Is The Beach

White Rock Beach is very different this time of year. The sun worshipers, party animals, sand castlers, and families are all bundled up, wishing they were in Mexico or Tahiti or Hawaii, or someplace else that wasn't cold and damp. But the people that are still at the beach are the true White Rockers, aren't they? We love walking in the rain, slipping on the wet boards of the pier, and listening to the waves crash and the wind howl. The warm weather is nice, but my favorite part of the beach is the water, and the dynamics of the surf, and the tide, and the rolling rocks and ever-shifting sand. That is what living on the beach is all about. All my life I have loved the sound of moving water, be it a river, or a creek, waves on the lake shore - I love the water. That is why I want to live on the beach forever.
